St Mary's is a small but lively Church of England community in the Essex village of West Bergholt. We seek to share the heart of God with the heart of the community, through joining with people in their spiritual journey. We do this through accessible worship, opportunities to learn together and to serve in God's strength and with His guidance.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, vulnerable adults and victims/perpetrators of domestic abuse. The PCC has adopted the Church of England's policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England's website: www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding. Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Jenny Noakes who can be contacted on 07963 304018. Alternatively, in an emergency you can call the Chelmsford Diocese Safeguarding Team on 01245 294444.

Revd Heather Wilcox was appointed in November 2021 as Priest in Charge of West Bergholt with Great Horkesley, Langham with Boxted, and Wormingford & Mount Bures with Little Horkesley. She is based at the Rectory in West Bergholt.
